cell phone rentalsWhen I decided to travel to Israel I didn’t want to be burdened down by anything, no computer, no luggage, just enough underwear and a way to stay in touch — I needed a cell phone. It would also allow me to keep in touch with anyone I met on the way, obviating paper and pen and an address book, which could make them valuable contacts later on if I needed a place to stay.

So I decided to get an unlimited Blackberry, which would make it easier to plan and see things once I arrive. I wouldn’t need maps or have to wing it, I could save myself valuable hours by knowing bus times before I got there. Travel should be fun and exciting but that doesn’t mean it has to be inconvenient.

Once I arrived in Israel I knew that I had made the right choice. It was early afternoon and instead of wasting time, I was able to see exactly when my favorite museum closed so I could get there before nightfall.
